We love these examples of the great work by students in Jennifer McNeil’s evening High School class, who are looking at The Surrealist Movement and the work of Salvador Dali, Pablo Picasso, René Magritte, Frida Kahlo, André Breton, and Joan Miró.

P4-P7 Classes
Our P4-P7 PRIMARY SCHOOL CLASSES had a real treat today, when artist Holly Moffat came to visit. Holly worked alongside class tutor, George Farrow- Hawkins, to teach the children how to create Alberto Giacometti inspired, miniature sculptures using tin foil and plaster.
George and Holly recently created a fantastic Stop Frame Animation , which featured in The Venice Film Festival
Wednesday Purely Pastels – Adults
Some examples of the fine work created, at last night’s Purely Pastels class. Most of the students focussed on shiny reflective surfaces, with one or two other good studies of a street scene and a battered, old door
Friday Drawing and Painting – Adults
We are very lucky to have Yvonne Taylor, teaching our Friday afternoon adults class 12.30-2.30pm.
Yvonne works with a variety of mediums. As well as being an awarding winning sculptor, she is extremely skillful with a palette knife, with which she applies extended layers of glaze and chiaroscuro to capture the inner luminosity, in her beautiful paintings.
